Are your utility companies holding you hostage as well? Better yet, is it more like paying a monthly ransom? Trust me, I know the feeling well. We cut the heat back in the winter and wear sweaters to save on energy.
In the summer, we cut the a/c up and wear light clothes. We may even leave the a/c off and open the doors and windows, then chase the bugs around the house with fly swatters just to save on those same energy bills. We also use so called "energy saver bulbs" and squint to see, once more, to save on that precious energy. The hot water heater is set slightly lower than what the manufacturer recommends, the kids are terrified to touch a light switch for fear of leaving the lights on, if something isn't used, it's turned off.
And guess what! The electric bill alone is still in excess of $200.00 a month! We the consumer are left with little choice but to feel privileged we even have electricity.
What to do?
Fight back that's what! We can use solar power and wind power to fight back and we don't have to shell out $20,000.00+ to do it!
