What is the Best Bug Catcher?

Thursday, September 30, 2010

Do you suffer from a magnitude of bugs, mosquitoes and flies? There are many parts of the world that does and this requires you to get something to prevent yourself from these little creeps. What you can do is spread out tons of dangerous toxins, but that's not the most effective method...

There are a few ways to make home made bug catchers for things like bee's and wasps or anything that is attracted to sugar, sweets and nectar etc. The way to catch these is to simply take some dish wash soap and sugar water. Mix it and place it in a bowl or whatever... The bugs will fly into the sugar and be attracted by that, but cannot get out of the bowl because of the soap! Try it, it really works well.

Another method is getting a fly swatter. This is the most common method, but requires lots of hard work and aim in order to hit enough bugs. It's slow and a long process, but there are things that can be major improvements such as electric fly sappers for example.

Another great method is an electric bug zapper. This is a cage looking device that is lit up like a light and since bugs are attracted to the light and sound in the evening they will fly right into the trap and get ZAPPED! It's a funny thing to see as well as very effective for getting rid of bugs around the home.

My favorite that works very well as well, which is a step up from the fly swatter is the electric fly swatter. This is a fly swatter that is also electric and will easily zap any bugs that fly into the electric part of the device, and it's quite a large area to work with. You simply have to swing the device around you in order to zap bugs effectively, which makes it a lot less difficult to work with.

It is also a lot more cost effective at a low price of around $10-$15 as opposed to the pricier bug zappers.
Well, these are just some of the many ways to catch bugs at home without having to resort to dangerous chemicals or expensive exterminators. A problem could be if you have so many bugs that these methods will not work... You could also use them in combination and put out many bowls of soap and sugar water, as well as a few bug zappers in combination with an electric fly sapper.

The Fly Zapper That Can Kill Flies Faster and Practically

Wednesday, September 29, 2010

This fly zapper is a recent innovation which has taken the market by storm. It has replaced the traditional ways to kill flies. We will show you how to kill flies with it faster and practically.

Electric fly swatters are an electrical piece of equipment that is designed in the shape of a badminton or lawn tennis racket. In the round area there is a wired electric grid which has air vents in between as the flies are very alert to a slight change in the air pressure around them.

The electricity or current to this wire mesh is given from the batteries which are placed in the handle. There is a switch on the handle. When this switch is turned on then wired grid goes live. Current starts flowing in that area. Now where the fly is flying or sitting, you just need to gently swipe this useful tool in that area. When this flying insect comes in touch with the grid, it is killed instantly due to the huge electric shock.

This type of zappers works differently from bug zappers. As bug zappers are placed at one place, the particular kind of light in it attracts flies, then the electric shock will kill them when they come nearby. But it is a compulsion that they should come near the zapper, as in electric fly swatter, there is no such compulsion and all you have to do is just generally swipe it in the air on the place where there is a flying insect and it would be killed practically in a very small time without any effort.

Thus this fly zapper is quite an innovation and we should make a good use of them. But as they are so cheap, the quality is a bit low, that is why we should take care of that part and enjoy the home free from all the flies and mosquitoes which had bother your life for so many years when there was no effective, practical and faster way to get rid of flies.

Although this fly zapper seems to be a great tool, it's still necessary to understand the safety guide of using the device.

Is an Electric Fly Swatter Dangerous?

Tuesday, September 28, 2010

Electric Fly swatter is another innovation that has come up in recent times. It has been of great help in killing the unwanted flying objects like flies and mosquitoes from our homes, which have been of great concern in recent times. But, is this device completely safe? Is there any potential dangerous when people use it?

As you notice, the insects (such as flies and mosquitoes) must have been the reason for running temperatures and other health issues that sometime arise in our homes. However, today, this is not the case anymore. We can kill those nuisances with just a swipe of the Electric fly swatter.

This device at first look resembles to a toy, but it is not so. Although it looks like a badminton racquet but that wiring area is actually an electric wired grid which can be turned on by pressing the button on the handle and is operated with batteries.

Whether or not its usage is dangerous, it actually depends on how we use and store this electric powered equipment. If it's used carelessly, then it can hurt yourself or other people.

If it's left alone, then small children in the house can pick it up and start playing with it while considering it to be a toy. If they turn it on by accident then this can lead to a big disaster.

Keeping that electric fly swatter in our hands while sitting on the chair can harm us when we fall a sleep, because we could turn it on and then touch that wired grid, which can give us a big electric shock.

It's also considered dangerous if it touches the areas or substances that can be potentially ignited by electric current (Flammable substances, electrical equipments, machinery with moving parts, and sources of static electricity).

If we can keep a watch on all these things, then this electric fly swatter can prove to be a real boon instead of being dangerous if left unmanned or used carelessly. Whenever nobody is using it, we can take out the batteries and store it to save us and our beloved ones from having unpleasant incidents.

Learning the safety guide of this electric fly swatter can help you understand the way you should use this type of fly zapper.

How I Use the Electric Fly Zapper

Monday, September 27, 2010

I hate flies. They are annoying enough to make me buy not one, but two electric fly swatters. I got one upstairs and I got one in the living room / kitchen area. And as a result there are no more flies in my house. No bugs, no flies, no mosquitoes, no nothing that crawls or flies. If you are looking for a bug zapper, the electric fly swatter is the one tool you want. What exactly is this fly swatter at all?

The e-fly swatter as my wife calls it is a tennis racket like tool that uses 2 D-size Batteries to charge a small net with 1500 volts. The tennis racket design makes this tool very handy and easy to use. You just wave it towards the fly or mosquito and the 1500 volt charge zaps them and kills them accordingly. There is no mess afterwards. You do not need to wipe anything clean, you do not need a newspaper lying around, and you will not get a tennis arm syndrome either.

I did try sprays before, but they might be more poisonous to humans than to bugs or insects. I always kept 2 or 3 old copies of the Time Magazine around to hit the flies with it. Why Time Magazine? It has a) the perfect size and b) the perfect weight. If a magazine or newspaper is too heavy you will be too slow to hit a fly. If it is too large it creates too much wind and the fly is eventually sucked out of the "hitting area" before the magazine hits the surface. The Time Magazine is actually perfect to even hit a fly in the air and knock it out dead.

But then the electric fly swatter came around. A friend recommended it to me. We were watching baseball at his place when I was able to see this cool electric fly catcher tool in action. I was amazed how easy it was to kill a fly. He just waived his arm with the fly zapper towards the fly, the volt charge hit, and the fly was done. The same night I ordered two electric fly zappers of the same brand and that is how my house finally ended up to be clean of flies. I just make sure that a) the batteries are charged (I use rechargeable batteries) and b) that I always have one of the two fly zappers in close proximity.

My wife loves the fly catcher devices, too. We both have become big fans of it. Sometimes we even play pretend tennis with the devices (no flies or tennis balls involved though). One of the best investments we have made for summer.

Summer time is bug time with flies, mosquitoes and other insects bugging us humans. Visit the Electric fly Swatter website to read more about a cool device to get rid of flies.

Help! My Electric Company is Holding Me Hostage!

Sunday, September 26, 2010

Are your utility companies holding you hostage as well? Better yet, is it more like paying a monthly ransom? Trust me, I know the feeling well. We cut the heat back in the winter and wear sweaters to save on energy.

In the summer, we cut the a/c up and wear light clothes. We may even leave the a/c off and open the doors and windows, then chase the bugs around the house with fly swatters just to save on those same energy bills. We also use so called "energy saver bulbs" and squint to see, once more, to save on that precious energy. The hot water heater is set slightly lower than what the manufacturer recommends, the kids are terrified to touch a light switch for fear of leaving the lights on, if something isn't used, it's turned off.

And guess what! The electric bill alone is still in excess of $200.00 a month! We the consumer are left with little choice but to feel privileged we even have electricity.

What to do?
Fight back that's what! We can use solar power and wind power to fight back and we don't have to shell out $20,000.00+ to do it! It's now entirely possible to have do it yourself solar panels and wind turbines built with items found in your local hardware. These DIY solar panels and wind turbines have very near the same quality for a fraction of the professional manufacturers cost!

You can get everything you need to know from beginning to end in text as well as video in order to solar power your own home as well as have windmills for back up.

Check it out yourself here. I know I'm fighting back! You should also!

Saturday, September 25, 2010

Do you love barbecues and outdoor picnics in your backyards? Well, who doesn't? But the menace of bugs and flies can often restrict you from having a rocking time. Until just recently the only reliable way to kill a fly was using be with a flyswatter. As you no doubt have experienced firsthand, the fundamental problem with this method is that flies can sense the air movement of the swatter and fly away at the last instant.

Now modern technology has the solution to getting rid of flies in your home with the Electronic fly swatter. This handheld pest controlling device gives a brief but powerful current or electric shock when the insect is in range. They are designed to kill insects quickly and cleanly and they never miss.

The Charcoal Companion Electronic fly swatter has been specifically designed to keep bugs absent from your next barbecue. All this can be done without using any kind of unsafe insect sprays. This model has been designed on very similar lines of the flyswatter. It is technically a handheld bug zapper, which has been given a cool shape of tennis racket. With the device you can now kill insects as they come in contact with the electric current. As any bug or insect touches the surface of the racket "net", it gets electrified.

Basically this zapper operates on only two AA batteries. So you are saving on power and avoiding the hassles of using a manual bug swatter. Also, this device has been created for safety and activates only if you press two buttons on the handle, simultaneously. Hence, you need worry about your kids or pets running over it or getting hurt because of it. This bug zapper is absolutely safe for both indoor and outdoor use. But you should remember to be careful when you switch it on. This swatter has a tendency to cause a shock once it activates, even though it's minor. It can scare some people. All of those who want to practice some arm exercises or want to be armchair athletes can try out the Charcoal Companion Electronic fly swatter.

It features a new sport of choice with a kick. All kinds of unwary winged creatures like insects and bugs, within your range can be swatted. But it is actually a swatter, which helps you to improve your back hand without a ball. You can make sure that all the bugs roaming around the house can be swatter with the Bug Zapper. The wires "go live" only when you want, but don't consume any power other wise. Instead of using the unsafe insect spray or similar kinds of bug repellents opt for the safer swatter. It has been proven that inhaling these repellents can be harmful for your body. So, it is recommended that you choose simpler and easier options to get rid of the bugs and have a great barbecue.

Electronic Fly Swatter - Your Secret Weapon in Controlling Flies

Friday, September 24, 2010

Flies can be a major pain when they get into your house. Once in your home they will constantly bother you a lot while trying to eat. They carry many different strains of bacteria and viruses that can be transferred to people. They spoil the food that they have landed on. Flies lay their eggs every few weeks so that they can multiply to massive levels from a single food source.

Until just recently the only reliable way to kill a fly was using be with a flyswatter. Historically this simple hand held device is typically a small rectangular sheet of lightweight, flexible, vented material, attached to a lightweight wire or plastic handle. The venting reduces wind drag and makes it easier to hit a fast moving target such as a fly. As you no doubt have experienced firsthand, the fundamental problem with this design is that flies can sense the air movement of the swatter and fly away at the last instant.

Now modern technology has the solution to getting rid of flies in your home. Electric flyswatters are hand held pest controlling devices. They resemble tennis rackets designed to kill insects quickly and cleanly. The electronic flyswatter gives a brief but powerful current or electric shock when any conductive part of the insect bridges the terminals of the device. Most electric swatters are made in a similar way consisting of a handle containing batteries, and a charging mechanism, usually a capacitor or a transformer, for the electrically charged grid on the surface of the head.

The electric flyswatter is a remarkable gadget. It is lightweight and works every time. No guts, no mess, no fuss. The Electric flyswatter kills not only the flies, but also mosquitoes, moths and spiders that enter your house as uninvited guests. No more waiting until the fly lands or trying to anticipate where the fly is going to jump to next.

The many benefits of the Electric Flyswatter include:
  • No waiting for insect to land. You can kill it mid air.
  • The insect dies at first zap.
  • There is no hassle of cleaning up. Just tap the swatter over the trash can.
  • Lightweight.
  • Easy to hold.
  • Versatile: can be used indoors and outdoors. It helps to keep bees and flies away from picnics.
  • Healthy life: Fewer flies mean fewer germs and lesser illnesses.

The working of the Electric Flyswatter is quite simple. You just need to press the easy-to-use button with your thumb while moving the swatter in the air. Or, if you wish to wait until the insect lands, just hold the swatter over the insect with the easy-to-use button pressed. As soon as the insect comes in contact with the grid, the insect gets a brief electric shock and dies. The Electronic Flyswatter does it all for you by electrocuting the insect enough to kill it. The only thing you have to do here is tap the dead insect over the trash can and you will be rid of your problem.

Electric Fly Swatter - 3 Reasons You Should Own One

Saturday, September 18, 2010

Why might you want to own an electric fly swatter? There are a lot of positive things in favor of that idea, few against. The usual reason for NOT seriously considering is inertia. Scarcity of good info is sometimes the reason. At other times fear of the unknown is the cause. Sometimes it's because they don't know exactly how to. Still other times it may be just being unaware of the possibility of doing it or of the potential benefits.

Things always become clearer once you get more information. Maybe we need to look at the reasons that have motivated others to own an electric fly swatter.

First, when attempting to swat flies a lot of people miss. And electronic fly swatter is much quicker than you probably are and will increase your chances of actually hitting the pests. O.K., I understand you when you object that it seems like something silly to invest in. I concede your point, but they aren't really all that expensive and will make the flies think twice about hanging around in your neck of the woods.

Second, it saves your wrists from getting injured. I know that sounds silly but wrist injury does happen if you have a fly problem. Plus, the wrist strain can cause things such as arthritis, which is something you want to avoid.. And you will be one of the only people, more than likely, around with one!

Third and last, it is one of the cheapest options for fly removal. Since most of the time fly paper will not work this is a no brainer option that costs about the same. This will most likely mean that you will spend less time trying to fly proof your home and more time just enjoying yourself. Again, you should have some way, especially in the summer time, to get rid of these disease ridden pests!

Consider those three reasons, evaluate them, think about them. When you think about it, you can see that there are compelling reasons to consider trying to own an electric fly swatter. Do they convince you?
Seriously now, just think about it for a moment. Don't those reasons apply to you? Perhaps you really should own an electric fly swatter.
